Connecting your Zoom account allows Xabi to add Zoom meetings to your calendar events. Xabi can dynamically choose between Google Meet, Zoom, or no video conferencing at all — based on context and your preferences
This guide explains how to connect, use, and disconnect your Zoom account with Xabi.
To use Zoom with Xabi, you need to authorize the Zoom integration. Follow these steps:
Open the Xabi Dashboard
Log in to Xabi and navigate to the Apps tab in your dashboard.
Find Zoom Integration
Locate Zoom in the Apps list and click the “Connect Zoom” button.
Sign in to Zoom
A new window will open. If you’re not already signed in to Zoom, enter your credentials.
Authorize Xabi on Zoom
You will now see Zoom’s OAuth consent screen. This screen asks you to grant Xabi permission to create meetings on your behalf.
Click “Authorize” to grant access.
Note: You do not need to check the box that says “Allow this app to use my shared access permissions.” Checking this box has no additional effect.
Redirect back to Xabi
After authorizing, you’ll return to the Xabi dashboard where Zoom will appear as connected.
Once Zoom is connected, Xabi can include Zoom links in your calendar events when scheduling meetings. Here’s how it works:
Automatic Zoom Link Insertion
When you schedule a meeting via email or through the app, Xabi can dynamically choose between Google Meet, Zoom, or no video conferencing at all — based on context and your preferences.
Prefer Zoom for All Meetings?
If you want Xabi to always use Zoom as your video conferencing tool:
Update your preferences text to include Zoom as your preferred option, or
Simply let Xabi know by chatting with it directly under “Chat with Xabi” in your dashboard.
Calendar & Notifications
Once a meeting is booked, a unique Zoom link will be added to the calendar invite and sent to your guests. The meeting will also appear in your Zoom upcoming meetings.
If you wish to remove the Zoom integration from Xabi, follow these steps:
In the Apps tab of your Xabi dashboard, click the “Disconnect” button next to Zoom.
You will be redirected to your Zoom App Marketplace dashboard.
Zoom may prompt you to log in again before proceeding.
Navigate to:
Personal App Management → Added Apps → Apps in Production
(Don’t worry — the redirect will land you here automatically.)
Find Xabi in the list and click “Remove”.
Once removed, Xabi will no longer be connected to your Zoom account, and this will be reflected in your dashboard.
Permissions Requested: Xabi requests access to create and manage meetings on your Zoom account. This is required to generate Zoom links and handle rescheduling.
Privacy & Security: Xabi never sees your Zoom credentials. The integration uses OAuth, and the access token is encrypted and scoped only to the permissions you granted.
Minimal Access: Xabi only creates and deletes Zoom meetings it schedules — it does not access your contacts, webinars, or recordings.
